Google Drive | March 21, 2025 | Changes to Cloud Storage Quotas

The drastic reduction in ministerial funding has impacted the services provided by the University Computer System, making it impossible to renew the paid Google Workspace service.

Starting from March 21, the new fees defined in the Cloud Fee Guidelines approved by the University’s governing bodies will be applied:

Staff 50 GB 60 GB
External lecturers 20 GB 40 GB
Students | PhD candidates | Residents | Research fellows | Scholarship holders | Research contractors 15 GB 20 GB
Default 1 GB 5 GB

*under approval by the authorities after SIA modification

Quota for shared space by groups

Please check the used space (guide) and, if necessary, free up space on Google Drive.

It is recommended to delete shared Google Drives that are no longer necessary, helping to keep UniPi’s overall usage below the 100TB threshold to avoid putting the entire university tenant into read-only mode.
