Overleaf, an online platform for collaborative writing of scientific documents in LaTeX, is active for the University of Pisa community in the Community Edition version.
Access to the UniPi platform is available at https://unipi.it/overleaf and is reserved for individuals holding institutional credentials of the University.
It is possible to involve external individuals in projects hosted on the UniPi instance through “guest” credentials generated via the university Identity system. This mode allows research groups to extend collaboration to national and international partners not structured at the University of Pisa.
The platform enables real-time collaborative editing, structured management of project files, and full change tracking through version history. The cloud environment allows for work without local installations, ensuring uniformity of tools and operational continuity within research groups.
Overleaf also supports bibliography management (BibTeX) and the use of a wide collection of templates for scientific journals and international conferences.
