# Assignment of University Credentials

### **Notice for New Students**

Many university services (email, e-learning, WiFi, etc.) will not be accessible until a new password is set. The password can be defined by accessing [Identity](https://identity.unipi.it/) with the assigned Alice credentials, or by using the [password recovery](https://identity.unipi.it/App/Pwd/ResetPwd) procedure and indicating the private email registered in the Alice portal.

Credentials are automatically assigned to **teachers**, **contract lecturers**, **researchers**, **students**, **PhD students**, **scholars**, and **technical-administrative staff**.

Exclusively for **guest** users, structured staff can generate credentials by accessing [Identity](https://identity.unipi.it/App/Pwd/ResetPwd), according to the [Regulations for the use of IT resources](https://www.unipi.it/phocadownload/regolamentiallegati/regrisorseinformatiche.pdf).
